Alex Cooper is sharing her approach to social media in the age of internet feuds
While chatting with Tana Mongeau on the latest episode of Call Her Daddy, Cooper asked Mongeau why she believes society is "so fixated on creating competition between women" and the two shared their opinions on the topic
The pair's reflections come as Cooper has allegedly been embroiled in a feud with fellow social media star Alix Earle on social media
Alex Cooper is reflecting on social media's impact on women's relationships with each other. While chatting with fellow social media superstar Tana Mongeau on her podcast, Call Her Daddy, the pair touched on everything from Mongeau's rise to social media fame, her new podcast Brand Safe and her sobriety journey.Cooper specifically asked Mongeau — who has been embroiled in her fair share of social media beefs and controversies in the past — to share her perspective on why "society is so fixated on creating competition between women," having had her career grow as a result of her "interpersonal relationships" with women.

For her part, Mongeau admitted that she wasn't quite sure, saying, "I don't know if people are projecting things that they have felt or whatever, or if there is just this internalized misogyny that, we will forever have to work through, or if people just want to see that for entertainment purposes or what it is." Mongeau discussed her feelings on the fact that even "simple things that women do" could be misconstrued in a social media space."If you're loud on what you want or if you want to direct your team and direct your employees, no one would even blink their eyes if a man did that," she said.Cooper agreed with Mongeau's sentiments, sharing that she's had "so many conversations with so many women" (Cooper named notable guests on her podcast like Shonda Rhimes, Kerry Washington and even Michelle Obama) who have experienced having competition created amongst them."I think we're all aware of the double standard," Cooper said. "I think we're all aware of how we love to pit women against women and how it's such an easy narrative. So why is nothing changing?""It's almost getting so much worse with the short-form content, just every day," Mongeau said. "That's why I think people would be surprised to know that I really am not opening and scrolling TikTok.""I deleted the app," Cooper replied.

"It makes me so sad when I open it up," Mongeau said of her social media. "And it's like, what new woman are we hating today? And then I scroll, and it's like, you need to buy this thing or your self-worth is low."Mongeau and Cooper's discussion comes as Cooper has been embroiled in a feud with fellow social media heavyweight Alix Earle. Rumors of a feud between the two social media stars first began swirling when Cooper's Unwell network dropped Earle's Hot Mess podcast in February 2025.
On May 12, Earle addressed the alleged feud between the two on the Todayshow. "There's been this back and forth between you and another internet personality, a podcaster as well, [and] there seems to be a bit of online beef there. What's actually happening? What's really going on?" Today anchor Melvin asked Earle, 25, who replied that she was "trying to keep things pretty positive today," having just been announced as one of the 2026 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover star.Earle replied, "You know, well, I'm trying to keep things pretty positive today. We don't actually have that much time here, honestly, and also, it's like, why ruin such a good day with something not so great. Let's keep the positive vibes going."Melvin asked if there was "legitimate contentiousness" to the internet drama between her and Cooper, or if it had "all been exaggerated." Earle then said, "No, it's exaggerated. I love everyone," though Melvin added he wasn't "buying it."

The feud between the two bubbled up again in mid-April 2026 when Earle reposted a video on TikTok of another content creator calling Cooper “so awful” and comparing her to "an ambulance chaser" for "profiting" from women's vulnerable moments on her Call Her Daddy podcast.
On Monday, April 13, Cooper, 31, posted a TikTok video, directly calling Earle out for the repost, tagging Earle in the caption of the post. “Hey girl, the passive-aggressive reposts and the likes and the commenting on things — I've got to call you out here,” Cooper said in her original video. “You're going to need to get specific and just say what you've got to say about me. There's no NDA. No one is stopping you. Stop hiding behind other people and just say it yourself.”
In the video, Cooper said that there was "no NDA" preventing Earle from sharing her side of their alleged feud, encouraging her to speak out. The internet exploded with influencers posting commentary, users replying in the comment section of Cooper's post and even brands getting in on the drama. Since then, Cooper has not posted on the app.Earle also replied in the comments of Cooper's post, writing, "Okay on it!!" and reposting the video to her own profile.A day later, Earle posted another TikTok that had internet users gasping for breath. In the video, two of Earle's friends could be seen entering the bedroom of their Coachella rental property and waking her up as one of them told her, “We have to show you a TikTok.” They then appeared to play Cooper's TikTok video as Earle sat up from bed to get a closer look.
