Candace Cameron Bure and her daughter Natasha reflected on her "incredible" wedding to Bradley Steven Perry on Sept. 14

"I think the day was exactly what they were hoping it would be. And that's all a mom wants," Candace told Entertainment Tonight

The couple tied the knot in a ceremony "full of romance and personal charm" in Malibu, in front of about 150 loved ones

Candace Cameron Bure and her daughter Natasha are opening up about her dreamy wedding.

The Full House alum and her daughter spoke to Entertainment Tonight at the 20th anniversary of Dancing With the Stars about Natasha's recent wedding to Good Luck Charlie alum Bradley Steven Perry. The wedding, which the couple told PEOPLE was "full of romance and personal charm," took place on Sept. 14, in Malibu, Calif.

When asked to describe the happy couple's big day, Candace, 49, couldn't contain her smile.

"It was incredible," Candace said. "She was a beautiful bride, and her husband is a wonderful, beautiful person, and so I think the day was exactly what they were hoping it would be. And that's all a mom wants."

"[There were] a lot of tears," Natasha added. "Specifically, right before I walked down the aisle — I think I just had so much bottled up, and right before I went on, I was just sobbing. Lots of tears."

The wedding, held a at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, saw 150 of the couple's friends, family and loved ones in attendance, the couple shared with PEOPLE exclusively. Natasha, 27, and Perry, 26, opted for a hands-on approach to wedding planning and decor because they "really wanted to do everything, top to bottom" to achieve a specific vision.

At the ceremony, live jazz music filled the air as Natasha walked down the aisle escorted by her father, Valeri Bure, to the tune of "Mia & Sebastian's Theme" from La La Land.

"Every time I hear that song, I think of Bradley, and I instantly knew it had to be the one I walked down the aisle to," Natasha told PEOPLE. "There wasn’t even a question. It was, without a doubt, the easiest song choice of the entire wedding."

Candace had a special role as Natasha's "something blue" — the mother of the bride wore a special blue dress for the ceremony, Natasha revealed at the time. "She means the absolute world to me, so having her honored in that way felt so right," she added.

The "timeless and elegant" reception saw a blend of white florals and soft greenery, with color accents of creams and yellows. After the meal, guests were served gelato and "the sweetest little heart-shaped carrot cake" from SusieCakes for dessert.

"It’s almost impossible to put into words what our wedding truly feels like. It’s surreal and overwhelming in all the best ways. There is nothing better than marrying your best friend," the couple said. "This day is also so much more than just a celebration of our love, it’s a reminder of how blessed we are to be surrounded by the most incredible family and friends — people who have cheered us on, shaped us, and stood by us."
