In PEOPLE's exclusive clip from the HGTV show, Castle Impossible's Daphne and Ian Fig reveal that they are expecting their first baby
“It'll be really nice having the three generations living together,” Daphne says in the clip
The high school sweethearts also share their big news with Daphne's grandmother and their close friend Anthony Raggett
Daphne and Ian Fig are growing their “chateau family.”
The Castle Impossible stars reveal that Daphne is pregnant and the couple is expecting their first baby together in the upcoming episode of the HGTV show, which documents the couple's renovation of a 17th-century French chateau that Daphne inherited from her maternal grandparents.
“So Granny and Tony, we have another small surprise for you,” Daphne begins in French, as seen in an exclusive clip shared with PEOPLE. “Look under your plate.”
The episode (premiering Tuesday, June 2, at 8 p.m. ET/PT) then shows Daphne's grandmother pulling a white envelope from under her plate.
“Surprise, you're going to be a super Granny to our little baby,” the note read with an ultrasound photo of their new addition taped inside.
“You two are having a baby?” Anthony Raggett — a master craftsman who often helps the pair with major restoration projects — says in the clip, to which Daphne responds, “We're having a baby!”

While they first met and briefly dated in high school, Daphne and Ian reconnected in 2015 while they were both visiting home in California for the holidays. After enduring a few years of long-distance while Ian studied in Arizona, the two had planned to move into a tiny home together when Daphne received a call from her grandma to say that her grandpa was doing poorly.
While Daphne's grandfather unfortunately died in November 2020, the high school sweethearts have spent the past few years restoring the 500-year-old French chateau that he left behind.

The high school sweethearts got engaged in March 2020 and wed in a private ceremony on New Year's Eve that same year.
“It's going to be great with the baby,” Daphne's grandma says of their new chapter in the exclusive clip. “I'm glad that I'll get to rock this little boy — or this little girl.”
Emphasizing that they do not yet know the sex of their baby, Daphne says she absolutely loves that her and Ian's “little chateau family is growing.”
“It'll be really nice having the three generations living together,” she continues. “I've always wanted to be a mom. I think I was around 2 and a half when I started pushing around my first doll and saying that I was gonna be a mother of 10. I'm not gonna have 10 kids, but to finally have a baby of my own, that's really exciting.”
