Georgia football put itself in a good position to pick up arguably its biggest with of the 2025 season, building a 14-3 first-half lead over Texas in a matchup of top-10 teams and College Football Playoff contenders.
In the process, though, it may have lost its best defensive player.
On a Longhorns drive in the second quarter of their Week 12 game on Saturday, Nov. 15, Bulldogs star linebacker CJ Allen went down with what appeared to be a non-contact injury. He held on to his left leg and limped off the field.

Being without Allen, if even just temporarily, would be quite the blow for Georgia against Arch Manning and the Texas offense. Allen entered the night as the Bulldogs' leader in total tackles (75) and sacks (3.5)

After Allen went down, he limped off the field to the Georgia sideline, where he went to the blue medical tent.
From there, he went with team medical personnel to the Bulldogs' locker room. According to the ABC broadcast, it was Allen's hamstring that was bothering him.
