21-year-old Maci Keys' dad went viral on TikTok for his hilarious reaction to opening her SKIMS order

Keys tells PEOPLE that her dad "thinks it's silly that so many people are entertained by him opening packages"

Maci Keys never could have imagined a video of her dad would blow up on TikTok.

When her SKIMS order got delivered while she was out of the house, the 21-year-old from Columbus, Ohio, asked her dad if he'd open the package for her and record a video of his reaction. Eleven million views later, and the internet can't get enough of his hilarious commentary.

"My mom and I were out at dinner with a friend, and I had been waiting for my package all day," Keys recalls to PEOPLE. "I am a big fan of SKIMS and was just excited to see what it looked like."

In the now-viral clip, Keys' dad begrudgingly rips open the package. "What the hell is in here? It's some damn clothes," he says when he removes the black sports bra. "What am I supposed to do with this? I can't try it on cause you ain't here."The bra is designed with multiple straps, which seems to further confuse him.

"What the hell is this? A sports bra? Good lord," he continues, adding, "And it smells like frickin' plastic or some glue."

Finally, he holds up the item to the camera and concludes the video saying, "Here goes your stuff."

Viewers were thoroughly amused by his reactions to the clothing.

"He was irritated from the start 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣," one user wrote.

"'Some damn clothes,' every dad gets annoyed when girls buy clothes 😭😭," said another.

A third wrote, "He was so unimpressed 😭😭😭"

Keys tells PEOPLE that her dad was indeed annoyed, but that it was nothing out of the ordinary. "That's how he usually acts," she says.

However, she clarifies that it wasn't because of the clothes or the fact that Keys bought something for herself. "He never really cares what I order, me and my mom have stuff delivered all the time," she explains. "It's really just the fact that I asked him to take a video of the tank top."

Keys says that her dad does have his own TikTok account, but only started following her "after a few days of the video being up." He's since appeared in a few more videos on his daughter's page.

"He thinks it's silly that so many people are entertained by him opening packages," she says of his reaction to the comments.

However, Keys thinks her dad "secretly enjoys making the videos."

"As you can probably tell from the first video, he is easily irritated by me, but will still participate anyway," she adds.
