Emma Watson and Tom Felton may have played nemeses on screen, but in real-life, the Harry Potter actors were among the closest duos to come out of the franchise. In fact, over the years, Watson, who played Hermione Granger admitted that the Draco Malfoy actor was her first crush.

In a 2021 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Felton spoke of their special bond, telling the outlet, "We are something, if that makes any sense, as far as we've been very close for a long time. And I adore her, I think she's fantastic. Hopefully, she returns the compliment," he joked.

When it comes to romantic feelings, however, Felton playfully alluded that higher powers have kept those at bay. "As far as the romantic side of it, I think that's a Slytherin-Gryffindor thing rather than a Tom and Emma thing," he told the outlet.

For her part, Watson explained the depth of their friendship in a foreword for Felton's 2022 memoir, Beyond the Wand: "For more than 20 years now we've loved each other in a special way, and I've lost count of the times that people have said to me, 'You must have drunkenly made out, just once!' 'You must have kissed!' 'There must be something!'"

She continued, "We're soulmates, and we've always had each other's back. I know we always will. It makes me emotional to think about it."

Below, take a look at Emma Watson and Tom Felton's sweet friendship though the years.
