The Golden Bachelor, Gerry Turner, and his ex-wife, Theresa Nist, have reunited for the first time on TV since announcing their divorce in April 2024.
The pair were spotted sitting in different areas of the audience during The Golden Bachelor season 2 episode âFinale and After the Final Roseâ on Wednesday, Nov. 12, with Turner, 74, attending the show with his new fiancĂ©e, Lana Sutton.
The Golden Bachelor host Jesse Palmer shouted out the pair during the broadcast, telling the crowd, âLook who else is here: Gerry, our first âGolden Bachelorâ with his new fiancĂ©e, Lana.â

"We wanna say congratulations on you both finding love,â Palmer added. âExcited for you two.â
At another point of the show, Palmer noted that there were âso many Golden ladies and Golden menâ in the audience as the camera panned over to show the guests, including Nist, 72, who was sitting next to Leslie Fhima, the runner-up in Turnerâs season.
They were sitting alongside several of the other women who were sent home by the current Golden Bachelor Mel Owens.

Turner and Nist got engaged after the conclusion of season 1 of The Golden Bachelor and tied the knot just three months later in a lavish televised "Golden wedding." However, the pair announced that they decided to call it quits in April 2024.
"Theresa and I have had a number of heart-to-heart conversations, and we've looked closely at our situation, our living situation, and so forth, and we've kind of come to the conclusion mutually that it's probably time for us to dissolve our marriage," Turner said in a joint interview with Nist that aired on Good Morning America at the time.
Turner shared more details on the downfall of their marriage in his memoir Golden Years: What Iâve Learned from Love, Loss, and Reality TV, which was released on Nov. 4. In it, he said that he felt "empty" ahed of his proposal and had doubts before their wedding.

âStanding on the platform set up for the proposal, I felt empty,â he wrote. âI had already made the decision that I was going to propose to Theresa, so the feeling wasnât about my resolution. Rather, there was no happiness in the moment."
He also admitted he had "cold feet" leading up to their wedding, but not enough to call the whole thing off.
"I think it's normal to have doubts towards the end and towards that moment when the commitment is engaged," Turner told E! News in November 2025. "So, yeah, I had some doubts, but those doubts didn't extend to the level of saying I want to call it off.â
Elsewhere in the book, he claimed there was a lack of intimacy following their wedding, and described a visit he made to Nist's New Jersey home five days after their wedding. He said Nist made him sleep on the couch.

âMy first night at her house, she took out sheets and pillows before telling me, âTomorrowâs a big workday. I need a good nightâs sleep. Do you mind sleeping on the sofa?â
Since the bookâs release, Nist has spoken out against his claims, saying during a November 2025 interview on the Dear Shandy podcast that she was "extremely upset" as "not one of the stories" she read "is the way it happened.â

â... You should have called off the wedding. No matter that we were on TV, that didn't matter. This was our lives. You should have stopped it," she added.
In her podcast interview, she said one time while they were walking around a lake, he joked about where he'd "hide" her body after he "kills" her and "chops her up."
"And he wasn't laughing," Nist claimed. She said she thought to herself, âWell, if this was his idea of a joke, that was pretty dark humor.â
âI just felt like there was animosity in that statement that was underlying, like maybe if he could have gotten rid of me somehow,â she continued of the moment on the podcast, before clarifying: âI don't think he would have killed me. ⊠No, I don't think that was true.â
âIt's not true, but it just spoke to an underlying feeling about me,â added Nist.
A rep for Turner did not immediately respond to PEOPLEâs request for comment.
