Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk are celebrating eight years of marriage

Paltrow marked the anniversary with an Instagram post featuring candid photos of the couple

The couple met in 2010 and married in 2018

Gwyneth Paltrow is celebrating eight years of marriage.

The Goop founder, 54, tied the knot with television writer, director and producer Brad Falchuk in 2018. Paltrow commemorated their eighth wedding anniversary with a sweet post on Instagram on Tuesday, Sept. 29.

“❤️8❤️,” Paltrow simply captioned her carousel, which was set to “Dream Baby Dream” by Bruce Springsteen.

The Oscar-winning actress shared three candid moments with her husband, the first being a photo taken from behind of the couple walking hand-in-hand along a path outside. The next shot was of them smiling toward the camera as they made their way through a lush garden setting on a sunny day.

The final slide was a romantic video of the two taking a walk on a beach with their arms wrapped around each other. At one point, Falchuk (who’s not active on Instagram) kisses Paltrow on the head.

Paltrow and Falchuk, 55, first met in 2010 during the actress’ guest appearance as substitute teacher Holly Holliday on the hit musical comedy series Glee, which Falchuk co-created. At the time, Paltrow was married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, and Falchuk was married to producer Suzanne Bukinik.

After splitting from their respective spouses, the pair quietly began dating in August 2014. Around one year later, Paltrow and Falchuk made their relationship public at Paltrow’s friend and costar Robert Downey Jr.’s 50th birthday party in April 2015.

The pair then secretly got engaged in 2017 before marrying in the Hamptons in 2018.

“We had a very small wedding,” Paltrow said on Good Morning America in 2019. “We both have really old friends from elementary school and high school, and that was really the bulk of our friends that were there.”

“It was just really special,” she added.

Later that year in September, Paltrow told InStyle that she adores Falchuk.

“I adore my husband,” she gushed. “He’s brilliant and deeply kind. I feel like he’s a real equal, too. And he pushes me in the best ways. I really like being married. It’s fun.”

While chatting with PEOPLE in March 2021, Paltrow — who shares daughter Apple, 22, and son Moses, 20, with Martin — called her husband, who also has two children, “such a special, amazing man.”
