Halle Berry is keeping it real about keeping it real in the bedroom. The Oscar winner opened up about why she decided to stop faking orgasms in bed just to satisfy her partners.
"We had to get there so that he felt good about bringing us to orgasm," Berry said during Tuesday's episode of the* Sex With Emily *podcast. "We had to say that we did it so that he would feel good about himself. Because what is that doing? That's putting his needs before our own. And now I don't do that anymore."
The *Die Another Day* star reasoned that women should "come first" like men "come first" to themselves: "I come first like you come first to you."
"We both deserve to have this be a mutually enjoyable experience, so we both can roll over and go to sleep because we feel good — not one snoring and the other one looking at the ceiling, going, 'What the hell?'" she added.

In a 2024 cover story for *Marie Claire*, Berry shared that she and Hunt were "madly in love" before they decided to have sex. "That has never happened to me, ever," Berry shared at the time. "Talk about one of those life-changing, beautiful experiences. It was magical, just magical."
"It took me a minute to get it right," she added. "But the nature of the way this happened, I have a real belief that this is it. This is my person."

The actress reiterated the sentiment in a recent profile with *The Cut*, published before she announced her engagement to Hunt after six years of dating. "After my third divorce, people started to say, 'What's wrong with her? She's crazy. She can't keep a man,'" she recalled to the outlet. "And I would always argue, 'Who says I want to keep a man if he's not the right man?' I pretty much stopped doing interviews for a decade because I got tired of the same old story," she continues. "It was always: 'Poor Halle — Unlucky in Love Again.'"
Berry revealed that before she met Hunt in 2020, she'd spent four years on a healing sabbatical from romance that included a wellness retreat in India and a lot of therapy.

"That's when I realized I was just pulling in mirror images of myself — people who were broken, people with childhood wounds that weren't addressed," she said. "I had to face the pain of what happened to me as a kid and release my secrets. I had to get it out of my body so I could fully love myself and show up for my own children. I cried many a night."
It turned out Hunt, too, had taken a two year-hiatus from relationships. "He was on his own self-discovery journey," Berry noted. But after a long inner journey, the actress shared that she was finally in "the best relationship I have ever had."**
