Harry Styles traded his pop star appearance for a giant rat costume on Saturday as he celebrated Halloween at Madison Square Garden.
The singer, 32, appeared in a furry brown suit while carrying an oversized foam pizza slice, closing his New York residency with a costume seemingly inspired by the city’s viral "pizza rat."
The tail followed Styles across the stage as he performed during the second of two concerts as part of Harryween. His musicians joined the New York theme, wearing costumes representing city landmarks and other familiar sights. The news follows a Lip reader revealing what Harry Styles supposedly said to an autograph seeker earlier this month.

The inspiration was footage of a viral rat hauling a pizza slice down subway stairs, an image that became an unlikely depiction of New York life. Styles brought that reference into life in the arena setting, making the prop pizza part of his Halloween appearance.
Saturday’s performance concluded a 30-show engagement at the Garden, where his Together, Together tour began its residency on August 26. The final two dates fell on Halloween weekend, giving the singer consecutive nights to unveil different looks.
Styles initially appeared as Elvis Presley, wearing a white jumpsuit with a cape and gold sunglasses. Later, he revisited the outfit from his teenage audition for The X Factor, performing Stevie Wonder’s Isn’t She Lovely, the song he sang during that appearance at age 16.

The transformation from Presley to his younger self preceded Saturday’s turn toward a distinctly local Halloween reference.
Harryween has become a recurring part of Styles’ concert history, with elaborate outfits extending beyond the singer to the musicians sharing his stage.
He introduced the themed shows during Love on Tour in 2021, when Madison Square Garden hosted two Halloween performances. On the first night, Styles portrayed Dorothy Gale from The Wizard of Oz, including the character’s ruby slippers. His band appeared as other figures from the film.

The following concert featured an entirely different ensemble: a white Pierrot clown costume with ruffles and face paint. His fellow performers also adopted clown outfits.
In 2022, Styles moved the celebration to the Forum in Inglewood, California, and drew inspiration from Grease.
He dressed as Danny Zuko, pairing a leather jacket and black pants with a pompadour hairstyle. Band members appeared as T-Birds and Pink Ladies.
This year’s Garden residency doubled the length of his 15-show run there in 2022.
