Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos is sharing a new update on the search for Savannah Guthrie's 84-year-old mom, Nancy Guthrie, as the investigation passes the one-month mark.

During an interview that aired Tuesday on *Today*, NBC's Liz Kreutz asked Nanos whether investigators are "any closer to finding a suspect or suspects." Nanos responded that he thinks "investigators are definitely closer. We've got a lot of intel, a lot of leads, but now it's time to just go to work."

Kreutz brought up the various doorbell camera footage shared by Nancy's neighbors, which includes a video shared by Fox News Digital last week of a car speeding down the road 2.5 miles from Nancy's home around the time of her abduction. The video was shared weeks after authorities uncovered footage of a masked, armed person attempting to enter Nancy’s residence shortly before her pacemaker was disconnected from its tracking device.

Nanos said officers were aware of the video showing the car around the time of Nancy's abduction. "We're looking into it, just like any other piece of evidence," he added, before confirming that officials have not been able to identify the vehicle.

"We're looking at that vehicle as well as hundreds of thousands of other vehicles that were out driving at that time of day," he told NBC.

Nanos admitted that he and other authorities have intentionally kept many details from the public, resulting in the seemingly vague confirmations released about the investigation.

"There's so much that everybody wants to know, right? But I would be very neglectful and irresponsible as a police, law enforcement leader to share that with everybody," Nanos said. "We have information on this case that we think is going to hopefully lead us to solving this case, but it takes time."

However, Nanos said he believed he would "absolutely" solve the case eventually.

Earlier this week, Savannah marked one month since her mother's disappearance by visiting the shrine of yellow flowers, cards, and messages left outside of Nancy’s home with her sister Annie and her brother-in-law, Tommaso Cioni.

"We feel the love and prayers from our neighbors, from the Tucson community and from around the country," Savannah wrote on Instagram after the visit. "Please don't stop praying and hoping with us. Bring her home."

Since their mother's abduction from her home on Feb. 1, Savannah and her siblings have published multiple videos pleading with their mother’s captors to return her home safe and sound. On Feb. 24, the *Today *anchor took to Instagram to announce that her family was increasing the reward for her recovery from $500,000 to $1 million.

In a video shared to her Instagram on Tuesday, Savannah said that although she and her siblings, Annie and Camron, continue to fight for their mother's safe return, they also acknowledge the bleak reality that Nancy "may be lost."

"We still believe in a miracle, we still believe that she can come home — hope against hope," Savannah said, fighting back tears as she added that her family is "aching" for their missing matriarch. "As my sister says, 'We are blowing on the embers of hope.'"

She continued, "We also know that she may be lost. She may already be gone. She may have already gone home to the Lord that she loves and is dancing in heaven with her mom and her dad and with her beloved brother Pierce and with our daddy. If this is what is to be, then we will accept it, but we need to know where she is. We need her to come home."

Savannah also announced a $500,000 donation to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children "for their work and helping families who are coping with loss and actively looking for those who are lost."****"We know there are millions of families that have suffered with this kind of uncertainty. We are hoping that the attention that has been given to our mom and our family will extend to all the families like ours who are in need and need prayers and need support," she told followers.
