Jim Carrey spent years saying he had no reason to marry again.
Now the comedian has quietly tied the knot with actress and artist Min Ah, 32 years his junior — and a source claims his new relationship is a world away from his past high-profile romances. The 64-year-old actor and Min married in a small private ceremony in Los Angeles. His representative confirmed the marriage, but did not disclose the wedding date or further details.
The couple had offered only rare glimpses of their relationship before the news broke. They appeared together at the César Awards in Paris in February, where Jim accepted an honorary prize and publicly thanked Min during his speech. However, his appearance left fans baffled as he attended a glamorous event.

It was a strikingly open moment for a pair who had kept their romance largely out of view. They were photographed together outside a Los Angeles charity comedy show in February 2022, but had not previously made a red-carpet appearance as a couple.
Now, an unnamed source described as close to Jim has told the Daily Mail that Min, who is half the age of her new husband, understands the actor’s quieter life and shares his interest in spirituality. The source called her “super kind and supportive” and claimed she accepts Jim as he is.

But the insider’s account took a sharper turn regarding the women Jim dated before her. Referring to actress Lauren Holly and TV personality Jenny McCarthy.
The source claimed, “In the past he was with very ambitious women like Lauren and Jenny. I think it was exhausting.”
The insider also suggested Min’s more private lifestyle suits the star, who has stepped back from the relentless pace of his earlier Hollywood career.
Jim was married to Melissa Womer, with whom he shares daughter Jane, from 1987 until 1995. His second marriage, to Dumb and Dumber co-star Lauren Holly, lasted less than a year. He later dated Renée Zellweger and was with Jenny McCarthy for around five years before they split in 2010.

At the César Awards, with Min beside his daughter and grandson, Jim publicly called her his “sublime companion” and told her he loved her. Now, seven months later, their marriage was confirmed.
The third wedding is particularly surprising given Jim’s own past words. In a 2008 interview, he suggested two marriages were enough for him.
Years later, he told Howard Stern he did not see another wedding as necessary.
His life has changed since then. Jim has spoken about enjoying painting, spirituality and time away from the spotlight, though he has continued acting, including as Dr. Robotnik in the Sonic the Hedgehog films.
