Kate Hudson’s daughter, Rani Rose, turned 8 on October 2.
To celebrate, the 47-year-old actress shared a sweet video montage on Instagram that included several adorable family moments.
In her caption, she wrote, “Our birthday girl! 🎂 Rani Rose, our baby, is 8! Our little dancing, avid reading, skincare obsessed, horse loving, harry potter die hard, cuddle bug, WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH! ❤️☀️🎉.”
Kate Hudson’s daughter Rani Rose has celebrated another trip around the sun.
To commemorate her 8th birthday on October 2, the 47-year-old actress shared a sweet video montage on Instagram that included several adorable family moments. Video clips featured the mother-daughter duo baking together, enjoying vacations, and dancing in their backyard.
Hudson also included never-before-seen photos of Rani, whom Hudson shares with her fiancé, Danny Fujikawa.
In her heartfelt caption, she wrote, “Our birthday girl! 🎂 Rani Rose, our baby, is 8! Our little dancing, avid reading, skincare obsessed, horse loving, harry potter die hard, cuddle bug, WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH! ❤️☀️🎉.”
The Running Point star is also a mom to two sons, who appeared in Rani’s birthday video tribute. She shares her eldest child, Ryder, 22, with her ex-husband, Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson. Her second son, Bingham, 15, is with her ex-fiancé, Muse frontman Matt Bellamy.

Hudson often shares photos with her only daughter on Instagram.

In July, she posted snapshots from a family trip to the U.K. In one image, Hudson and Rani sat together at a restaurant while holding up their drinks. Elsewhere in the photo dump, Rani posed with her father. She captioned the post, “🇬🇧❤️🥰.”

And for Rani’s 7th birthday last year, the How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days star shared another video montage.
“My little lady is 7 today,” Hudson wrote. “My sweet sparkly sassy silly sunshine girl! You are the light of my life 🌟🎂🎉☀️🌟 I love you! Happy Birthday ⚖️ ♎️.”
In a previous interview with People, the actress opened up about Rani’s personality.

“She’s the best. She’s so magical,” she said in 2024. “She’s definitely her mother’s daughter. It takes her forever to get out of the house. She’s very particular about her wardrobe, and her clothes, and her vibe.”
“She is just a total firecracker,” she continued, “but then she’s much more emotional than I think I was when I was little. She’s much more of an empath.”
