GBT Realty Corporation is suing the owners of E3 Chophouse Nashville, including Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean, over unpaid rent
The lawsuit is seeking over $1.4 million in damages from the owners of the restaurant, which closed its doors in February
A spokesperson for the restaurant's ownership group says a resolution is in the works
A Tennessee real estate agency is suing Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean and others for over $1.4 million for allegedly not paying rent on their Nashville restaurant.
Brentwood-based agency GBT Realty Corporation has filed a lawsuit against the country stars — as well as their co-owner, MLB alum Adam LaRoche, and the restaurant's leasing company Outlaws LLC — over unpaid rent at E3 Chophouse Nashville, Backstage Country, Parade and Nashville NBC affiliate WSMV reported. The outlets cite a complaint filed June 12, months after the restaurant abruptly closed its doors in February.
In the complaint, GBT alleges that the chophouse's owners and celebrity investors failed to pay rent for January or February, and violated the restaurant's lease, according to the outlets. The co-owners, the lawsuit claims per WSMV, "stopped paying the monthly rent and abruptly closed the restaurant and ceased operations."
GBT is seeking damages including both past-due rent on the Hillsboro Village property with interest, as well as the rent due through the end of the lease, which is up in August 2029, according to Parade and Backstage Country.

The realty agency's complaint comes after a previous court ruling determined that the E3 Chophouse Nashville owners owe over $1.4 million in damages, per Parade and Backstage Country. According to the outlets, the chophouse's legal team has since appealed the decision.
Reps for Bryan and Aldean did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment. PEOPLE has also reached out to a spokesperson for GBT and E3 Chophouse Nashville.

A spokesperson for E3 Chophouse's ownership group told Backstage Country that none of the restaurant's partners had prior knowledge of the complaint. The spokesperson also said that a resolution is currently being pursued.

"We're temporarily pausing operations as we evaluate what Nashville needs next," the statement reads. "Our team is assessing market opportunities and exploring potential rebrand and re-concept strategies for the future of this location. Stay tuned - more updates coming soon."
According to Parade and Backstage Country, the keys to the Nashville property have been returned, indicating that the temporary closure may be permanent.
Bryan, 49, and Aldean, also 49, are co-owners of the chophouse chain's Nashville spot, along with LaRoche, 46.
The location in Steamboat Springs, Colo. — which opened in 2013, and is still operating — is owned by the former baseball pro and his brothers, per the Nashville restaurant's website.
