Minions & Monsters is officially heading home following a critically acclaimed theatrical run. Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that the animated hit will arrive on digital platforms on August 11, 2026, followed by a physical release on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on September 8, 2026. The home release will also have roughly 45 minutes of exclusive bonus features.

The newest addition features James, Henry, Ed, and the Minions as they chase movie stardom in Hollywood before accidentally unleashing monsters on the world. Along with the film, viewers will get exclusive behind-the-scenes featurettes exploring the animation, new characters, and creative process.

The movie is the third standalone Minions film, which follows the iconic yellow mischief-makers to Golden Age Hollywood. Their dream of becoming movie stars tumbles into chaos after they unleash dangerous monsters. The unexpected disaster forces them to team up to save the planet. Pierre Coffin returns as the voice of the Minions and co-directs the film with Patrick Delage. The voice cast also features Allison Janney, Christoph Waltz, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeff Bridges, Zoey Deutch, Bobby Moynihan, and Phil LaMarr. Coffin wrote the screenplay with Brian Lynch, while Illumination founder Chris Meledandri produced the film alongside Bill Ryan.

Minions & Monsters currently reigns as the highest-rated entry in the entire Despicable Me and Minions universe on Rotten Tomatoes, boasting a Certified Fresh 89% critics score. This places it above all other movies that have been made previously in the animated franchise.

Critics praised the movie for bringing a fresh setting to the franchise while keeping the humor that audiences expect. Many reviews highlighted its fast pace, visual gags, and heartfelt moments.
