Fans of The Rookie star Nathan Fillion are reeling after the actor shared some photos from a recent photoshoot taken by photographer John Russo for People's "Sexiest Man Alive" issue.
In a new post on Instagram, Russo and Fillion shared four photos from the shoot, with two seemingly themed around Fillion's role as a police officer in The Rookie, and two likely referencing his iconic character of Richard Castle in Castle, a crime writer who becomes a consultant for the NYPD.
In the first two photos, Fillion posed in a chic suit inside and leaning on a police car, while the other photos showed the actor in signature detective scenes, wearing a brown leather jacket.
"One of the best aspects of my career is working with great people. Creative, sincere, loyal and most importantly kind. @nathanfillion is all of that," wrote Russo in the caption. "In an industry where that is not always the case, it makes working with talent like Nathan even more rewarding. Good times for @people sexiest man alive shoot."

Fillion had just as much praise for the photographer, writing alongside the update, "I find photo shoots unusual and odd. I find it difficult to be entirely comfortable with the concept… except with @johnrussophoto. I find John talented, clever, and incredibly good at his job."
The Superman actor joked, "Making me look good is a Herculean task, and John makes it look easy. Thanks, my friend. Looking forward to working with you more!"
Fans Couldn't Get Over Fillion's Striking New Photos
People online were amazed upon seeing Fillion's stylish photoshoot, with one referencing The Rookie as they wrote, "It’s giving arrest me but make it sexy❤️."
Others described him as "ruggedly handsome," "smoldering," "very photogenic," and "absolutely stunning," while a particularly enthusiastic response read, "THE PHOTOGRAPHY SKILLS AND THE MAN WHO IS IN THE PHOTOS = PURE PERFECTION 🔥🔥♥️."
"I can't handle this 😮🔥😍," declared another wowed fan, as more commented, "The definition of smoke show," and "Uhhmmm…. tries to breathe and find words. 🔥🔥🔥."
Someone else wrote, "I fear I will have a crush on this man for the rest of my life," while other people suggested Fillion could take on iconic roles like James Bond and a sci-fi detective like Harrison Ford's character in Blade Runner.

Fillion Was “Thrilled” To Be Included in the “Sexiest Man Alive” Issue
In an interview with People accompanying the photoshoot, Fillion shared his reaction to being a part of the well-known "Sexiest Man Alive" magazine issue, saying that he was "thrilled," as he quipped, "This is great, to be noticed in any way. To be forgotten would be horrible.”
Fillion also talked a bit about his love for acting and what it's like living as a celebrity, with so many people's eyes on him, saying, "I'm so fortunate to do what I love to do, which is acting and telling stories, and then there's this whole other component to it that is so bizarre, the celebrity part of it.”
Fillion has been starring in the hit crime drama The Rookie since it debuted in 2018. Season 8 is set to premiere in January.
