- Netflix announced a 150-city-spanning musical event at the Upfronts.

- Specifics are forthcoming, while Netflix launched an adjoining website.

*KPop Demon Hunters* is hitting the road while the globe awaits the movie sequel.

A couple months after some early reports, Netflix officially confirms a *KPop Demon Hunters* world concert tour is coming in 2027 with 150 cities mapped out.

Specific talent involved in the global tour were not confirmed. However, singers EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami — who collectively make up the musical voices behind the group HUNTR/X in the animated film — have been hitting the road with performances across late-night television and awards shows, so it's presumed they will be involved in this new tour.

The trio most recently performed "Golden," the Oscar-winning song from the movie's soundtrack, on stage at Coachella with KATSEYE.

AEG Presents and Netflix are teaming up for the world concert tour, which "will bring elements of the global phenomenon to life in dynamic and spectacular ways," the streamer revealed during the Upfronts presentations on Wednesday. "More information regarding cities and tickets on sale coming later this year."

The website kpopdemonhunterslive.com launched alongside the announcement.

It's the latest move by Netflix to further capitalize on the hype surrounding *KPop Demon Hunters* after the animated film became a runaway global success after its June 2025 debut on the streaming platform. Various singalong screening events were set up as Netflix plotted a major push into toys through Mattel.

The title scooped up multiple awards during the glitzy Hollywood season, including two Oscars earlier this year for Best Animated Film and Best Original Song.

EJAE, a major force behind the creation of the soundtrack and the musical voice for HUNTR/X lead singer Rumi, became a superstar in her own right as a result of the film's success. The same goes for her fellow songstresses Audrey Nuna (the singing voice behind Mira), and Rei Ami (the singing voice behind Zoey).

EJAE accepts the Original Song award for "KPop Demon Hunters" onstage during the 98th Oscars at Dolby Theatre on March 15, 2026 in Hollywood, California.

Directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, *KPop Demon Hunters* introduced HUNTR/X, a worldwide K-pop girl-group sensation who moonlight as supernatural demon hunters to defend humanity from soul-devouring monsters. Arden Cho (Rumi), May Hong (Mira), and Ji-young Yoo (Zoey) provided the speaking roles for the three main characters, while Ahn Hyo-seop performed the voice of Jinu, the demon love interest for half-demon Rumi.

Netflix formally announced a movie sequel this past March, though it's projected to arrive in 2029, given the realities of producing animated features.

“I feel immense pride as a Korean filmmaker that the audience wants more from this Korean story and our Korean characters," Kang said in a statement at the time. "There’s so much more to this world we have built and I’m excited to show you. This is only the beginning."

"These characters are like family to us, their world has become our second home," Applehans said. "We’re excited to write their next chapter, challenge them and watch them evolve — and continue pushing the boundaries of how music, animation, and story can come together.”
