The Prince of Wales allegedly “loathed” that specific time when their mother, the late Princess Diana, made them wear matching outfits. The report came weeks after the Duke of Sussex’s recent UK trip, where he, Meghan Markle, and their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, reunited with King Charles and Queen Camilla at his Highgrove House in England. However, William and his wife, Kate Middleton, did not join the King and the Queen in hosting the Sussexes.

Prince William reportedly “loathed” Princess Diana matching his outfits with his younger brother, Prince Harry. According to HELLO! Magazine, in his memoir “Spare,” the Duke of Sussex shared that his older brother did not like it when their mother used to dress them in matching outfits.

The royal siblings were often spotted wearing the matching outfits, including khaki clothing, school uniforms, and royal tour clothes as well. They reportedly sometimes even wore matching shoes, including a pair of T-bar Mary Janes.

The Mirror quoted the particular passage from “Spare” where Harry wrote, “Willy always hated it when anyone made the mistake of thinking us a package deal.” The Duke of Sussex continued, “He loathed it when Mummy dressed us in the same outfits… For Willy it was pure agony to wear the same blazer, the same tight shorts, as me. “

Harry further penned, “It didn’t help that her taste in children’s clothes ran to the extreme; we often looked like the twins from Alice in Wonderland.” The prince also claimed that he “barely took notice,” as he “didn’t care about clothes,” whether it be his or someone else’s.
