Ryan Gosling has accepted Days of Our Lives star Deidre Hall's invite to visit the soap opera's set

Hall made the sweet gesture after Gosling praised the series as an "incredible acting class" he watched while growing up

"Anytime, anywhere. You tell me, I'll be there," Gosling told Hall in a video

Ryan Gosling might stop by the set of one of the longest-running soap operas.

The Project Hail Mary actor, 45, has accepted Days of Our Lives star Deidre Hall's invitation to visit her show's set after Gosling praised her work on the daytime program.

During a recent appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Gosling recalled watching Days of Our Lives while growing up. After Gosling praised the show as an "incredible acting class," Hall, 78, shared a video on Instagram thanking him for acknowledging the series and inviting him to visit its set.

"Deirdre Hall, are you kidding me? Yes! This is a very enthusiastic yes to avery cordial invitation to visit you on set," Gosling said in a video his longtime partner Eva Mendes shared to Instagram on Friday, March 27. (Gosling does not have his own Instagram account.)

"I will be there to thank you in person for being my OG acting inspiration," Gosling added in the selfie video. "It wasn't Marlon Brando in On the Waterfront, it wasn't [Robert De Niro] in Taxi Driver, it was you and I want to thank you for your offer. Anytime, anywhere. You tell me, I'll be there."

Hall shared her video invitation on Instagram in a collaboration post with Happy Sad Confused host Josh Horowitz, whom Gosling is friendly with. "I also want to thank Josh Horowitz for making this happen, in some way. He's kind of a magical guy even though he obviously doesn't know what he doesn't know, but he he knows now, or he's gonna know," Gosling said in his video, in reference to Horowitz's admission that he had "never gotten into" Days Of Our Lives during their interview.

On Happy Sad Confused, Gosling said that soap opera actors "do not get the love they deserve" and specifically shouted out Hall for playing "impossible scenarios," citing a storyline on Days of Our Lives years ago in which her character is "possessed by the devil."

“Or it's like, somebody's dead, and now they're back, and then they're a different actor,” he added. "What's amazing is I remember that, thinking, ‘God, Deidre Hall is a great actress because she's having to act possessed right now. That just seems like a lot to ask of her.”
