Ryan Reynolds has lavished praise on his wife, Blake Lively, amid the Justin Baldoni legal case. Notably, Lively and Baldoni worked on their 2024 drama movie, It Ends With Us. The former co-stars’ legal battle began in December 2024 and will head to trial on May 18. Amidst all this, Reynolds has only nice things to say about his wife.

Ryan Reynolds discussed his wife, Blake Lively, in a new interview on Sunday, April 19. The Deadpool star appeared as a guest on Today’s Sunday Sitdown Live series, where he opened up about how the family is dealing with everything going on.

Today’s Willie Geist asked Reynolds how the couple was coping and how they have “managed” amid the high-profile legal saga. The 49-year-old actor replied, “You really see the illusion behind so much of this stuff, digital life versus real life.”

He went on to praise Lively, stating, “Really, without getting into too much, I have never in my life been more proud of my wife. People have no idea what is really going on. I’ve never been more proud of someone in my life, with that level of integrity that they bring with them in everything they do.”

Despite the legal battle troubles, Reynolds and Lively are putting up a brave front. The high-profile married couple indulged in sweet PDA at a Wrexham match last month. Cameras captured the pair hugging and kissing during the Football Association Challenge Cup (FA Cup) match between Wrexham and Chelsea. At one point, the Gossip Girl alum was seen giving her husband a back hug. She rested her head on his shoulder as they both watched the game intently.

In January this year, the 38-year-old actress appeared on WWD’s The Beauty of Tomorrow podcast to talk about her haircare brand. Lively spoke about her equation with her husband, Reynolds.

She said, “We talk shop all the time. We really are partners in everything just because we’re best friends. We’re just buddies. We’re partners. Our family is something we are eternally trying to figure out how to do better” (via PEOPLE).
