Seattle Seahawks Quarterback Sam Darnold Marries Katie Hoofnagle in Star-Studded Wedding

Super Bowl LX champion Sam Darnold has another ring to add to his already impressive collection.

The Seattle Seahawks quarterback married Katie Hoofnagle at Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa in Rancho Santa Fe, California, on Friday, April 3, People reported.

“Big year for rings,” Hoofnagle, 28, wrote via Instagram on Tuesday, April 7, alongside stunning photos from the romantic ceremony.

For the wedding ceremony, the bride wore a strapless wedding gown from Anthropologie, while the groom, also 28, opted for a custom Tom Ford suit.

"I worked at Anthropologie in college and was always drawn to their wedding collection, BHLDN," Hoofnagle recalled to People before the celebratory affair. "I walked by Anthro and saw my now-dress hanging in the window and called my mom and sister, begging them to fly to Orange County ASAP so I could try it on."

A slew of NFL stars showed up to support the groom, including Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and his wife, Hailee Steinfeld. The event marked the pair’s first outing since welcoming their baby girl.

San Francisco 49ers star Christian McCaffrey also attended the wedding with his wife, Olivia Culpo. Other NFL players in attendance included Kyle Allen, Garrett Bradbury, Cooper Kupp and Drew Lock.

Lucky guests who scored an invite to the couple’s nuptials watched the bride and groom share their first dance as husband and wife to "It Takes a Woman" by Chris Stapleton. In-N-Out Burger also provided a late-night snack for guests who danced the night away.

Although Darnold and Hoofnagle try to keep their relationship away from the public eye, the couple confirmed they were engaged via social media in July 2025.

Hoofnagle also shared a glimpse into her bachelorette party after traveling to the California desert for a tennis-themed celebration.

“Causing a racket or whatever,” she wrote via Instagram on March 17 alongside photos from her party, which included a sign that read, “Katie’s last swing before the ring.”

Hoofnagle and Darnold started dating in 2023 and have been each other’s biggest cheerleaders ever since.

“The support from my girlfriend is unbelievable,” Darnold exclusively told Us Weekly in March 2025 at Aaron Rodgers and RX3 Foundation’s Charity Flag Football Tournament. “You know, the fact that she just understands it. She’s a former athlete herself, and just gets kind of the grind of everything.”

The University of Southern California grad added, “She’s great. She’s always been my biggest supporter. And I love her, and I thank her for that all the time.”
