Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever saw their winning streak end at five games after losing to the Dallas Wings on Thursday, 91-85. Clark didn’t have the best performance in the contest, as she struggled and finished with only 10 points.

Clark shot a horrendous 4-of-15 from the field, although she did tally four rebounds, nine assists, one steal and one block.

Despite her forgettable display and the Fever’s frustrating loss, Clark did produce some highlight-worthy plays. For one, her lone block on Wings forward Maddy Siegrist was certainly quite the play.

Midway through the second quarter, Arike Ogunbowale passed the ball to Siegrist as they were approaching the basket. With Aliyah Boston behind Ogunbowale and Clark matched up against Siegrist, it definitely made sense to have the 6-foot-2 Siegrist try to score against a player who is not typically known for her defense.

However, Clark quickly showed everyone that it was a mistake, as she didn’t let Siegrist have it easy. The Fever star perfectly timed her jump as Siegrist went for the layup, blocking her shot and sending the ball out of bounds.

The Fever shared a video of the play, which included a slow-motion replay, writing in the caption: “Caitlin Clark sends it back.”

A hyped viewer exclaimed, “Somebody called the SWAT TEAM.”

“Woohoo! Caitlin Clark,” an ecstatic follower stated.

“THAT WAS TOUGHHH CC,” a poster shared. An eighth social media user noted, “CC said NOT TODAY!”
