Freeform has released its latest true-crime docuseries, Somebody Knows Something, with Kara Chamberlain, a true crime influencer and a kidnapping survivor. The true crime series takes viewers through the unsolved cases that are now being investigated by Chamberlain, a former law enforcement officer.
When giving the BTS ofSomebody Knows Something, Kara Robinson Chamberlain stated that every new episode of the series will have some new information and evidence that hasn't been put out there before and has a way to help solve these cases and find answers.
Chamberlain added that although viewers may see this as just another true-crime documentary, for the Aisenberg and Stine families, these cases are very personal because they represent some of the worst moments of their lives. She continued that she feels it is her responsibility to give these families a voice and share their stories with the audience.

Somebody Knows Something looks into missing-person cases, hoping to find answers and bring closure to families. One of the cases focuses on Sabrina Aisenberg, a five-month-old baby who disappeared from her crib in Florida. The case reportedly took place thirty years ago. The deputy also found a boot print that did not belong to Sabrina's parents, along with blonde hair. However, the authorities were not able to trace Sabrina, and she has been missing since.
Another story focuses on a teenage girl, Lashaya Stine, who went missing during the night, leaving behind many questions about her disappearance. Chamberlain also shared an Instagram post giving more details about her series, adding that she just wants to help the families of the victims with answers. The series offers a new perspective on the cases by looking at details and evidence that have received little attention.

As a true-crime influencer, Kara also has a personal connection to these cases, having been kidnapped herself when she was young. In 2002, when Kara Robinson Chamberlain was only fifteen years old, she was kidnapped from her friend's house when she offered to water the plants. While watering the plants, a man showed up, talked to her, and then blackmailed her to get inside the container kept in his car by putting the gun against her.
Speaking of the incident, Chamberlain said that she had a gut feeling that she would be able to escape, and instead of panicking, she tried to gather as much detail of the person as possible, including the cigarettes he was smoking and the music he was listening to, which she explained in her social media video.
In the end, she managed to escape and save her life, after which she went to law enforcement. The authorities called her mother, and Kara helped the authorities with all the information she gathered. This helped them find their captor, Richard Evonitz.
Where to watch Somebody Knows Something?
Somebody Knows Something was released on August 10 at 9 p.m. PT/ET on Freeform. The series will be running on a weekly release schedule, with new episodes releasing every Monday. Viewers can also stream the first two episodes on Hulu/Disney+ one day after they air, i.e., on Tuesdays. The series has a total of eight episodes.
