Taco Bell isn't just adding a new dish to its menu; the restaurant chain is also adding a new ingredient to its flavor arsenal: poblano peppers.
Fire-roasted poblano peppers add some mild heat to the new Steak & Poblano Rolled Quesadilla, which will be available nationwide for a limited time starting Thursday, Nov. 20.
In a twist, the quesadilla is the chain's first rolled quesadilla, "transforming it into something portable, peppery and packed with flavor," Taco Bell said in a news release.
"At Taco Bell, innovation means more than new menu items – it’s about reimagining the classics and introducing bold flavors that excite our fans," said Luis Restrepo, Taco Bell chief marketing officer, in a statement. "With the debut of the Steak & Poblano Rolled Quesadilla, we’re celebrating the unique flavor profile of the poblano pepper in a new form. This launch is a testament to our relentless drive to deliver craveable innovations in every bite."

The new quesadilla consists of a rolled warm tortilla packed with marinated steak, melty cheese, fire-roasted poblano peppers and Spicy Ranch sauce.
The dish will be available à la carte for $4.99 (prices vary by location/participation) and as part of a $9 Discovery Luxe Cravings Box, which also includes one Doritos Locos Taco, a Crunchy Taco, Chips with Nacho Cheese Sauce and a medium fountain drink, according to Taco Bell.
