Texas A&M announces SEC Basketball Tipoff attendees

The Texas A&M basketball program is sending head coach Bucky McMillan, forward Mackenzie Mgbako, and guard PJ Haggerty to represent the Aggies at the SEC Basketball Tipoff in Birmingham, Alabama next week, the program annonced on Thursday. Mgbako was at last year's event.
The two-day event will see all 16 programs speak on Tuesday or Wednesday. The Aggies are set to speak on Wednesday, Oct. 14, with McMillan set to speak at 1:35 p.m. CT on SEC Network. Mgbako and Haggerty will speak after he is done.
Mgbako played in seven games last year, averaging 10.4 points and 4.9 rebounds per game before suffering a season-ending injury. He is entering his senior season after spending the first two seasons of his career with the Indiana Hoosiers.

Haggerty is entering his first season with the Aggies after spending last season with the Kansas State Wildcats. He averaged 23.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game last season. He received Big 12 Honorable Mention and AP All-America Honorable Mention recognition last year.
McMillan led Texas A&M to a 22-12 record last season, making it to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The Aggies begin the 2026-27 season on Oct. 25 with an exhibition against the SMU Mustangs.
