Actress Kami Colter, who is most well-known for playing Elizabeth Walton in the hit 1970s TV drama The Waltons, took a moment out of her busy schedule to call out some fan pages that are taking her posts and publishing them as if they are their own.

Colter posted a screenshot of a fan page that goes by "Back TV Show" on Facebook, writing, "There are quite a few Waltons-related Facebook pages. Some of them are sharing posts from my TV family in the appropriate manner, clicking on the 'share' icon. Some of them not so much!"

"I checked out Back TV Show and 90% of its page are my posts, and pasted," she went on, slamming one egregious example of this. "I starting adding 'Posted by Kami Cotler on DATE' to my posts, just hoping that when my content was lifted people would at least know who wrote it and when. I used to be an English teacher; I wanted to help them cite their sources! However, they seem willing to delete that information."

She ended her message with the cheeky note, "Maybe I'll just start stealing my old posts from theses pages?"

Fans were appalled to learn that this was happening, and many said that they already try to avoid any sites like this. One supportive fan commented, "I always look for the blue check mark, on the post. I'm a HUGE fan of The Waltons. So, I know what's what."

"Unless I see your blue check mark I keep on scrolling," said another, as someone else suggested, "Start Blocking the said-offender. They cant steal the Content if they cant see it Kami Cotler."

Others thanked her for flagging the issue, with many unfollowing, blocking, or reporting the fan page. Some called it "frustrating" and "aggravating," and noted that there are also pages impersonating famous actors online in similar ways.
