Today in Boston Celtics history, Tony Harris was born in Monroe, Louisiana, in 1967. The Celtics shooting guard alum played for the University of New Orleans before going unselected in the 1990 NBA Draft. Harris had a brief stint with the Philadelphia 76ers at the NBA level before signing with the Celtics as an unrestricted free agent in 1994.

Before that, he played in the Philippines Basketball League (PBL) briefly in the 1992-93 season, scoring 105 points in a game to set a record in that league that still stands today. While Harris played for the Celtics for two seasons, he only appeared in eight games.

He averaged 7.3 points, 1.3 rebounds, and an assist per game over that stretch, as brief as it was.
