Tom Cruise hasn’t stopped gushing about Kate Middleton and Prince William’s relationship, with extra specific compliments for the Princess of Wales, after he met up with the royal couple at his new film’s world premiere in London.
The 64-year-old action movie star has glowing reviews of his time reuniting with the Prince and Princess of Wales, both 44, on the London red carpet for his new film Digger. He has repeatedly singled out Kate in multiple interviews since their meet-up, and he offered another five-word cheeky comment about her when he appeared on the Jennifer Hudson Show on Wednesday, Sept. 30.
“William chose well — she’s beautiful,” Cruise said. It comes after Tom Cruise described Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce as “lovely in every way” after the Chiefs Game.

Hudson asked the Top Gun star about his moment on the red carpet with the royal couple during the interview.
“You’re a big deal because Prince William and Kate went to the London premiere. What did they think of the film, and what did you think of them being there?” Hudson asked Cruise.
“Oh, I didn’t tell them anything about it,” Cruise said, detailing that he didn’t tell them what would happen in the film before the premiere. “I just remember sitting next to Kate, and there were times stuff was happening and both of them were looking over at me like, ‘What is happening?’”

“They were laughing, really, you know, very gracious, loved the film,” he continued. “It was beautiful for them to be there, and they’re such an elegant, charismatic couple.”
“William chose well — she’s beautiful,” Cruise added before repeating the word “beautiful” several times to emphasize his compliment for Kate.
“And the dress… They’re just very charismatic,” Cruise said, making a nod to the royal purple gown Kate wore to the premiere. “They’re just nice people, just very down to earth.”
He made similar comments about William making a good choice in marrying Kate in an interview with Extra on the red carpet of the Los Angeles premiere of Digger.

“She’s got a great sense, incredible sense of humor,” Cruise said about Kate. “I mean, obviously very intelligent and fun. They’re so charismatic and so elegant; that dress that she was wearing? Stunning.”
“William did well,” he added with a wink, before turning to the camera and saying, “Way to go. Smart choice.”
Cruise was seen mingling with the royal couple at the premiere, and at one point, even offered his hand to Kate to lead her down a set of stairs.
His relationship with William goes back to when Princess Diana brought him onto the set of the first Mission: Impossible movie, as Cruise detailed to Hudson.
Cruise also invited William and Kate to a private screening of Top Gun: Maverick ahead of the official premiere in 2022 after learning he was a fan of the original 1986 movie.
