Joy Behar is taking some sick leave on "The View."
The Emmy-winning host and comedian, 83, has been absent from back-to-back shows of the ABC daytime talk show after injuring her foot, Behar's cohost, Whoopi Goldberg, revealed on the Wednesday, Nov. 12 episode.
"Now, Joy is out because she hurt her foot," Goldberg said at the top of the show. "Hopefully, she'll be back here tomorrow."
Goldberg, 70, did not offer any additional details on Behar's condition during the telecast. USA TODAY has reached out to Behar's representatives for comment.
Behar was also absent from the talk show on Tuesday. At the time, Goldberg acknowledged her cohost's absence but did not disclose any specifics on her condition. "Joy is out today," Goldberg told the studio audience.

Behar is typically off from "The View" on Mondays, which extends her overall absence this week to three consecutive shows.
Earlier this year, Behar courted controversy on the long-running talk show after a joke about former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger fell flat.
During the April 29 episode, Behar took a jab at Schwarzenegger, who was previously married to journalist Maria Shriver, saying if you date a man with his physique, "he's going to leave you for the housekeeper anyway."

Schwarzenegger famously had an affair in the mid-1990s with his then-housekeeper, Mildred Baena, which resulted in a child and the end of his marriage to Shriver.
The quip was met with almost immediate boos from viewers, to which Behar's "View" cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin responded: "Too soon! It's only been 30 years!"
"The View" airs Monday through Friday on ABC at 11 a.m. ET (10 a.m. central).
