There were two follow-up movies in the original trilogy, and a fourth movie was announced in November 2025
It's been over two decades since fans were first introduced to The Mummy.
The action-packed thriller premiered in May 1999, starring Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz as treasure-hunters who accidentally resurrect a cursed ancient priest. Not only did it bring in more than $400 million at the box office and solidify Fraser as a Hollywood staple, but the film also spawned two sequels: The Mummy Returns (2001) and Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008).
Though Fraser admitted that making the classic movie was "hard" in a 2022 interview with Variety, several outlets confirmed in November 2025 that he and Weisz were reprising their roles for another sequel titled The Mummy 4.
Here's everything to know about where the cast of The Mummy is now — over 25 years after the film's release.
