Alyssa Farah Griffin is in labor!**

Whoopi Goldberg opened Tuesday’s episode of *The View *with the announcement that Griffin would be absent because she was at the hospital getting ready to welcome her first child. **

“I don’t know if you saw the show yesterday, but it turned out Alyssa was right about Bad Bunny’s halftime show putting her into labor,” Goldberg teased as the audience gasped at the news. “It put her into labor! She’s at the hospital right now! And we are wishing her the best as she waits for her baby boy to arrive.”

The audience, in response, began to cheer and express their joy for Griffin and her growing family. **

“Yeah, it’s kind of fabulous!” Goldberg replied, before encouraging them to applaud for her cohost. “Yeah, give it to her! Welcome that baby!”

But Joy Behar had one very important question. “Will she name the baby Bunny?” she asked. “She should name the baby Bunny.”**

Sunny Hostin had another suggestion. “Benito!” she added, before clarifying to Behar that Bad Bunny’s “real name is Benito.”

To which Goldberg dryly quipped, “Yes, you know, when you explain the joke, it really does… stand all over the joke.” **

Griffin announced that she and her husband Justin Griffin were expecting their first child together in an October episode of *The View*. "I'm so overjoyed," Griffin said at the time. "I went through IVF. It was hard, it took us about a year, it took us five rounds, but he's here. He's coming!"

Griffin has been open about her fertility journey, revealing in a 2024 episode of the show’s companion podcast *Behind the Table* that she and her husband had been trying to get pregnant for “about a year and a half."**

"I wanted to share it for a couple of reasons," she explained. "I had no idea at my age how hard this actually would be. I'm only 35 and, to me, I was like, I've got plenty of time, this won't be that difficult. I'm healthy, I work out, I eat right. My body was just not cooperating."
